About the Role
We're searching for a Community Manager who's passionate about technology and loves connecting with developers, researchers, and makers. At imply+infer, we believe that the best products are built with community—and we need someone exceptional to help us grow and nurture ours.
You'll be the voice of imply+infer, building relationships with our users, amplifying their successes, and ensuring they have everything they need to build amazing things with our edge AI platforms.
What You'll Do
- Build and grow our community across Discord, GitHub, Twitter/X, and other platforms
- Create engaging content: tutorials, case studies, community spotlights, and social posts
- Manage our GitHub discussions and support community contributions
- Organize and host virtual events, workshops, and AMAs
- Gather user feedback and advocate for community needs internally
- Collaborate with engineering to improve documentation and developer experience
- Identify and nurture relationships with community champions and influencers
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in community management, developer relations, or technical marketing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Technical aptitude—you don't need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable discussing AI, hardware, and software concepts
- Experience with developer communities (open source, robotics, AI/ML preferred)
- Proficiency with community tools: Discord, GitHub, Twitter/X, LinkedIn
- Self-starter mentality with excellent organizational skills
- Genuine enthusiasm for technology and the maker community
Bonus Points
- Experience with video content creation (YouTube, TikTok, demos)
- Background in robotics, embedded systems, or AI/ML
- Existing network in the edge computing or robotics community
- Experience running hackathons or community events
